Looking at The Encyclopaedia of Typefaces, I was drawn to these calligraphic unusual letters with thick one-way serifs. Thanks to Nina and Dan, I got good scans of this “rare” Antiqua German typeface. I enjoy the rhythm of how it is shown in text and simplify the details for contemporary use.
The biggest challenge is to reduce the quaint and complicated calligraphic stroke. I put most of my efforts into making the serifs simple and energetic.
