What first drew me to this specimen in Bruce Type Foundry's 1882 catalog was its distinguishing question mark. It seems the foundry was quite proud of it as well, as they ended nearly every sentence with one.

Its wide serifs and abrupt transitions between thick and thin are some of my favorite features; however the serifs proved to be a challenge when it came to spacing.
